Week 2 - Caterpillar Alien

This week in the lesson we completed this workflow to colour and shade the very same sketch in the same style:

I went through the stages; cleaning the sketch with the levels in the image adjustments menu, creating a new multiply layer for the block colour, using another multiply layer for the shadowing then using a new layer to paint over the top. I personally used an overlay layer to preserve the shadows and lines and tried to blend it from there. Below is my finished piece, this is all I managed to complete within the lesson. I could have definitely gone over and spent a lot more time over it but didn't. This is because the idea of this technique is that it is supposed to be quick, which means a lot more content can be created within a shorter time period which is good for quick concept designs.
